Joan Morris - Heart Of Chatham Island

Joan Morris is a Songhees elder who lived on Chatham Island (T’ches) until 1957 when the well went dry. She’s a Survivor of the Residential Schools and has been an advocate for Residential School Survivors and Indian Hospital Survivors. Joan shares her memories and takes us on a tour of Chatham island. This film was created as part of the Rising Tides conference in the fall of 2015 by Pacific Peoples’ Partnership.
